Crossroads of America Scout Band
2016 Western Tour

Prairie Dogs, Bison, and Mammoths, Oh My!

Flexibility ruled the day. We left Wall, SD and traveled through Custer State Park to enjoy the animals. We saw bison, prairie dogs, antelope, burros, and mule deer. We then went down to Hot Springs, SD and saw the largest paleontological dig of mammoths in the country. This included seeing several complete or nearly complete skeletons. In the afternoon, we went to Rapid City and did a concert at the American Legion sponsored youth baseball game. The game was between two teams of 14 - 19 years old from two different posts.
