Direct Donations
The Band strive to ensure that the cost of our tours does not stand in the way of allowing all active Scouts and Scouters the opportunity to participate. Normally we do this by offering scholarships to those who need it. In previous years, due to the challenging cost of traveling to Hawaii, and now the costs to visit Alaska by cruise boat we need your help to ensure all our Scout Band members can attend the next Tour. Please consider sponsoring a Scout. Donations of any size would be appreciated, possibly $250, $500, $1000 or more!
Direct donations can be made to the Band through the Belzer Band Booster Club or the Harvey U Gill Scout Band Alumni Association. We are a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Organization and the tax exempt cerificate can be provided upon request. More information on how you can directly donate to the Band will be posted here, but for now please contact Bill Schofield, Janet Foster, Adair Vaught, Shirley Wiker, or any other BBBC Officer directly to find out how to do this!
Pie and Butter Braid Sales!
Butter Braids will come frozen but are delivered on the weekend before the holiday so that Band members have time to deliver them and collect monies. This year the flyers with the order forms from LaBraid Fundraising were handed out at the November 8th Rehearsal. If you missed getting a form here is the LaBraid Order Form that can be downloaded and printed out. The orders need to be returned on December 4th (or at the Christmas Concert), and the Delivery Date is set for December 12th to be picked up at Mr. Bill's House.
For the second year, a special URL link for each Band seller was sent to them to share with people buying from them. Make sure to use this Web Link URL to place your order before the Sale Deadline so that the Band seller will benefit from the sale. The site is easy to use; just select the items you wish to purchase and check out with a credit card. Don't forget to put your address that you want the Band person to deliver to. And please, no out of state sales unless you coordinate with the Band seller.
In past years we sold fresh or frozen pies for Thanksgiving and Butter Braids for the Christmas and Easter Holiday seasons. These sales are back to back, but occur at a great time for selling food items to friends and family for holiday parties and family gatherings. We have also sold these items in the Spring in time for the Easter holiday season.
Pie sales depend on the vendor to supply the pies and timeline on delivery. The order forms will be passed out at band practice and possibly downloadable from the Band website when they become available during these times. If you have any questions please contact Shirley Wiker. Details to follow as they become available so check back often.
Annual Scout Band Garage Sale
We usually have a Scout Band Garage Sale at Saint Lawrence the month before Tour. COVID restrictions may still be in place at St. Lawrence for the next Garage Sale so check back to find out where we will have the Sale. Items are usually dropped off the day before or early in the morning to be placed on sale on the day of the sale. We ask that you PrePrice your items, except for clothing items in 25 cent increments or whole dollar increments. Please sort clothing for Men, Women, Kids, and Infants before hand. And don't forget to tell your family, friends, and neighbors about this sale when it comes up in the future!
Group Raise Program
In an effort to come up with more fundraising opportunities, Patty presented to the BBBC Board a way to raise monies by simply going out to eat. It is called Group Raise and the webpage address to get to it is: Group Raise. Click on the Commit To Eat button and plan to attend the mealtime on the date and time listed on this page. Our first one was at Verde Flavors of Mexico located in Fishers and other restaurants are being planned for once a month. The webpage also includes a link that adds the event day and time on the calendar of your choice! Please plan to attend and send this link to friends and family that are willing to support the Band!

Colts Games and Events at Lucas Oil Stadium
Belzer Band Booster Club at LOS Stand #103
The Crossroad of America Scout Band staffs a concession stand at Lucas Oil Stadium for all the home games for the Indianapolis Colts and several other events at the Stadium (we call it LOS) such as concerts, Monster Truck Series, Supercross Motorcylce Races, NCAA Basketball Finals, etc. We provide volunteer workers to staff the stand for compensation to the Band to raise additional funds. We have developed a great reputation with the concession management company for consistently staffing willing to work, honest laborers to prepare, cook and sell concession foods. Only workers above the age of 16 are allowed to work in the stand by management rules. It is preferred to have adults apply for the proper licsenses and attend the TIPS Training to help with sales. If you would be interested in working with us at LOS, contact Adair Vaught for more infromation and to get on the list to work. Here is this year's Stadium Schedule.
