Welcome to the 2022 Great Lakes Tour to Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan, and Wisconsin where we visited the shores of all five Great Lakes.

We were on the road again and posted photos and updates from each day's events on our Facebook Group. The Band toured and played from Camp Belzer to the Tall Ships Tour, Fort Niagra and Niagra Falls, Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, Henry Ford Museum, Mackinac Island, Tahquamenon Falls State Park and Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, National Railroad Museum, and Holland State Park, then back home again at Camp Belzer. The Tour started on July 2nd and lasted through July 9th, 2022!


Here was our Itinerary for this Tour:

Day One - Saturday, July 2nd to Lake Erie and the Tall Ship Tour

We will meet on July 2nd at 6:30 am at Camp Belzer to load the our Tour Bus for the trip. We will take our Departure Group Photo and be on our way by 7 am. This was mostly a travel day with a sack lunch stop somewhere in West Salem, Ohio at a rest stop on the way to Lake Erie. We are scheduled to arrive at the Erie Maritime Museum to ride a "Tall Ship". Later we will have dinner at Sarah's Restaurant and stay at the Springhill Suites.

Day Two - Sunday, July 3rd to Lake Ontario at For Niagra and Niagra Falls

The second day, we leave from Erie, Pennsylvania and travel to Fort Niagra to visit and tour the Fort and learn about the early years of the Lakes. Later in the afternoon we will play a concert at the Niagra Falls Visitor Center. In the evening we will eat dinner at the Hard Rock Cafe' Niagra and stay at the Springhill Suites near the Buffalo Airport.

Day Three - Monday, July 4th to Lake Erie and the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame

The third day has us traveling to Cleveland Ohio to visit the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. We will play a concert at Rochester Municipal Park. Later we find dinner in Omaha and stay overnight at the Springhill Suites in Auburn Hills.

Day Four - Tuesday, July 5th and the Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation

On the fourth day we travel to the Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation and play a concert in the afternoon in the Greenfield Village. The overnight stay will be our laudry night at the Springhill Suites in Saginaw Village.

Day Five - Wednesday, July 6th to Lake Huron and Mackinac Island

The fifth day finds us traveling to Mackinaw City, Michigan to visit historic Mackinac Island. Lunch will be on the Island as we departed Port Ignes area around 9:30 pm on a ferry touring past the "Mighty Mac" bridge to Mackinac Island. We played a concert in a park on the shores of Lake Huron in the afternoon with dinner to follow and the overnight at Quality Inn on the beach in St Ignes.

Day Six - Thursday, July 7th to Lake Superior

On the sixth day we will travel to Tahquamenon Falls State Park and see the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore where we boarded a narrated boat cruise to see the lakeshore and the pictured Rocks. Later was Dinner and overnight stay at Springhill Suites in Green Bay, WI.

Day Seven - Friday, July 8th Lake Michigan to the National Railroad Museum

The seventh day we woke up to rain in Green Bay, but it let up for us to see the National Railroad Museum in nearby ,WI. In the afternoon, we boarded the SS Badger and played a concert in the Lido Lounge as we ferried across Lake Michigan. Later was dinner and the overnight at Springhill Suites in Collensville, Illinois.

Day Eight - Saturday, June 30th to Lake Michigan Beach at Holland State Park

The final day we traveled to Holland State Park to swim at the Lake Michigan Beach. Then we will be "Back Home Again in Indiana" and arrive at Camp Belzer in the evening.
